Chrysanthemum and Osmanthus

Chrysanthemum is one of the most beloved flowers in the Japanese culture: imported form China, during the Edo era saw an unprecedented domestic cultivation and a resulting varieties development. Some of these get to have hundreds of petals, sometimes gathered in a small pompom, sometimes extended like an elegant flick.

They are the symbol of the imperial family and of autumn: for this last point, to complete this hair accessory, I added some little osmanthus flowers. The sweet scent of osmanthus recalls the first love, while the flower is a symbol of humility and truth.

So, a perfect accessory for an autumn wedding.
