Natsu kanzashi
150,00 €
This is a tsumami kanzashi with two classic motives of summer: the weeping willow (柳yanagi) and the large pink (撫子 nadeshiko).
The willow in Japan is a symbol of elegance, used in Shinto rituals, and the pink is synonymous of femininity. The mix of these two can be often seen on maiko June kanzashi, and they represent the quiet elegance of early summer.
It is made with branches of green leaves and pink flowers in habutae silk, a Japanese silk with a simple weave, light and delicate. This fabric is used for kimono, and it is one of the main materials used in traditional tsumami zaiku.
Kanzashi is a long hairpin with two prongs that is usually pinned on an up-do.
This accessory is made entirely by hand. It needs to be worn and handled with care.
