Ukiyo painting

A koi carp is swimming peacefully in water, at the shade of delicate willow branches.

This painting is made with mixed media: some parts are made of dyed fabric, glued on the surface, and others are painted with watercolours.

The composition is characterized by two depth levels, in order to suggest the spatiality of the representation.

The black frame is really deep and you can hang it on the wall, leave it vertically on furniture and use the support to keep it slightly oblique.

Originally the frame had plexiglass, but it has been replaced with glass.
